Microscopy / Microbiology Lab

The Molecular Biology and Microscopy Lab supports research and teaching in microbiology, cellular biology, and molecular analysis. Students observe microscopic samples of plant, animal, and human tissues, create their own samples, and learn essential lab skills like preparing microbiological media, plating, and inoculating bacterial cultures. They also practice gram staining techniques and observe bacterial samples under the microscope. The lab is equipped with laminar flow hoods, high-resolution microscopes, a BIO-Rad imaging system for gel analysis, and a spectrophotometer for protein and nucleic acid quantification, providing a comprehensive environment for studying biological processes.
