To accomplish a probiotic status, microorganisms must satisfy various criteria, such as functional effects, technological properties. In addition to probiotics, antioxidants were added specifically to the media which would have a positive effect on probiotics growth until the antibiotics were added. The hypothesis is to determine that antioxidants may act as a protective layer in order to save us from an aggressive antibiotic. This is determined through the preparation of LB Medium followed by observation of growing bacteria but using media with two different pH values. The focus is mainly on pH 3 which is closest to the stomach flora we possess, and pH 7 which is the optimal pH value for the growth of microorganisms. The use of probiotics is mainly a supplementation after antibiotic use to repopulate gastrointestinal flora. But when it comes to antioxidants, they should be taken before the use of antibiotics which is proved by significant results made throughout this experiment.
