Bosnian market lacks the data related to the percentage of genetically modified soy products placed on the domestic market. There has been lots of research on the issue of the presence of GMO product in our domestic market, but neither of the results are used as a reference for this occurrence. Therefore, my research topic tends to contribute to this issue, by examining genetically modified soya in processed food. The sample of seven products containing soya will be examined by using the methods of DNA isolation and real-time PCR for cp4 epsps. The results showed positive results for the presence of this gene in certain products sold on Bosnian market, while they were still in the range of legal entities. This mislabeling was confirmed since couple of samples stated that they were GMO free but the presence of cp4 was confirmed after the qPCR.
