Implications of metformin treatment on gene expression profiling in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma

Diffuse large B cell lymphoma is the aggressive B cell neoplasm which is the most common type of Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. As the currently available therapeutic regimens fail to induce remission in DLBCL patients, drug repurposing has become a promising alternative approach in the treatment of malignant neoplasms in general, but in DLBCL as well. My research project aims to evaluate the effects of metformin treatment on gene expression in two DLBCL cell lines with distinct molecular profiles.
