Plant Genomics and Proteomics
Group leader: Assist.Prof.Dr.Jasmin Sutkovic
Research interests:
Due to the immense development of Bioinformatics and genome-wide sequencing options, the possibility of in silico genetic and proteomic analysis has opened unprecedented doors towards new theories and conclusions. The interdisciplinary approach, combined with the Bioengineering principles and methods, enabled us to reach and correlate all the obtained in silico data with plant metabolic functions. Our research widely focuses on comparative genomics and gene expression from the perspectives of genomics, systems biology, and bioinformatics in plant organisms. We propose to undertake integrative approaches that span multiple levels of biological organization from the plant genome to the metabolome.
